Instagram cracking down ?¿

I got on my Instagram and seen a message at the top of my timeline and it said Instagram is cracking down on third party apps used for likes and followers and they want me to change my password or else my account could possibly get disabled. I don’t even use any apps for likes and followers. Does that also include unfollow apps? Even tho my unfollow app doesn’t let me unfollow anymore it still shows me who’s not following me back so i kinda sorta still use it. Is anyone else getting this message. I’ve got this message before and changed my password but i got it again I’m confused.

If you have resources you can keep testing, playing to see if you find something that still work, but it is very hard now and will probably be even worse. Ain’t nobody being abusive towards nothing so you can cut that lil attitude. Okay ppl may b asking the same questions but I’m not them. I barely even use my unfollow app and i damn sure don’t use any apps for likes & followers when my account is active and has pretty good engagement as it is. I’m just confused on why I’m getting that message to keep changing my password when i did already

Don’t know tbh, but i just googled it n ppl who r doing it says it’s very risks and Instagram has blocked them

No i haven’t had any spam like activities. I do all the normal things, unfollow who’s not following me back from time to time, and like and respond to dms that’s it. Yes i can view stories and post pics. I just posted a day ago. I’m blocked from unfollowing and now i just tried to like a pic now I’m blocked from liking, like this stupid asf. When i would get blocked from unfolllowing they would usually unblock me in abt 24 hours i think. This annoying asf

And i was just finna deactivate my account too smh since i can’t do nothing, can’t like anything, follow anyone or unfollow. I tried to follow somebody and they say the block won’t expire until the 1st smfh. Ion even use no apps for likes and followers so they got me blocked for no reason! Can never be great without them coming up w these dumb a** updates.

Did it always have an expiry in the pop up or is this new? mine doesnt say anything, havent tried to do any actions though today, too scared my accounts going to get banned, and no ones giving me any reassurance. any updates your end?

Yea i think this is with the new update because I’ve never got the before. I’ve tried to research how to get lifted and unblocked quick because I’m blocked for no reason but nothing yet, looked on YouTube and some ppl are saying log out and log back in then try but that didn’t work for me. Some are saying holler at technician_ig on twitter but some are saying he’s a scammer some saying he isn’t. I’m not tryna get finessed

I wouldnt trust it. log out and in didnt work for me either. I tried pressing the tell us about it button. maybe notify instagram of "somethings gone wrong" ?

I went check out his twitter too idk whether he’s legit or not because he got all these posts on how he got people unblocked, because if he’s a scammer he could just b cat fishing like he really got mfs unblocked when he’s just scamming for money. & I’ve even clicked this was a mistake and just sent them reports alone (Report A Problem) today since i realized i was blocked blocked as of today. If i don’t see any of results on how to get unblocked ASAP I’ll just wait it out 24 hours and let my account rest. If i do I’ll let u know

Even if you haven't use any apps for likes and follows, have you manually bulk followed? Coz Instagram has reduced the limits for follows monthly and this could be the issue.

The limit is 200 a hour i think, and that’s what i do. I would follow up to the exceeded limit then wait a few hours then unfollow. Then i would follow again , i didn’t have any problems until today, when i got blocked blocked

The alleged new follow limit is 6000 a month (200 a day). Once you are above this you have to apparently wait until the following month for the action to be unblocked is what I've been hearing. Also unfollowing straight after following is an action I wouldn't recommend very obvious and aggressive follow unfollow. Hope this helps

Then i would go on my second round of following again, i been doing this for the longest.. going on years , no problems .. but all of a sudden today i got blocked. But when i tried to follow someone or like something this message popped up that I’m blocked and it doesn’t expire until the 1st. Did u get a date? You would know the blocks lifted if u can like follow comment or whatever. But u should at least let your account rest for abt 24-48 hours if u dnt have a date when ur blocked, because if u keep abusing it then it’s possibly they’ll keep u blocked longer.
