Which one should I go with to analyze competition and get keywords ideas and so on. I am really confused here. pleae help

Go Ahrefs, you can extract KW's from competitors as also their backlinks, their outgoing links etc, its great but check out both as they both have trials;)

Give a try with trial accounts for both and use them for a week for a better understanding. Then upgrade to the one which suits you well.

like both of these tools but ahrefs is my favorite :)

Hi,

I would advise using ahrefs, but it may be different for other people.

Try both and choose the better option that fits you.

AHREFS all the way. Semrush data can be seriously unreliable. They don't have as many keywords, they have poor non-US coverage and their backlink scanners are a joke. I used to have pro accounts on both services, but last year I canceled my SEMrush subscription, moving to Ahrefs (and LTP) completely. I'm on their $350/mo plan and I cannot be more happy with it. The only thing that I don't like is their KD meter, which always displays a total BS.

For me Ahrefs every time but it's worth trialling both to see which works for best for you.

Ahrefs KD is skewed badly at times, but I prefer this over Semrush ( although I use both ). Semrush have improved this past year or so but as others have said, if you're not sure then take the trial for both, use them side by side and see which you prefer.

Ahrefs is something I would recommend. It has very good interface and is easy to use and also it updates its index frequently. Semrush is also not much behind either.

Ahrefs - however, I do use SEMrush too plus others. Trial both if you can. I dedupe for links etc against every source I have to hand.

I prefer using Ahrefs for keywords, competitor backlink analysis, and backlinks.

Both Ahrefs & SEMrush have pros and cons. However, try both and decide which is better for you.

Thanks guys I bought the Ahrefs

I see lots of duplicate keywords in ahrefs. For example, if a site is ranking in the featured snippet and on page 1, they list the same keyword twice, even though it should be listed once. This affects the traffic volume too. Just compare ahrefs and semrush traffic/keyword data for thebestvpn.com and you'll see what I mean.

I prefer ahrefs for backlink data, and semrush for organic traffic/keyword data because I think semrush is more accurate in that regard. Both tools work great together.
