Building the next TheChive Site! Follow along

Hey guys! So my goal for this journey is to build a successful gallery site that is similar to TheChive. My traffic will be coming from Instagram and Facebook


What I have so far:

FB page 1 (cw) 303,925

FB page 2 (al) 13.242 fans

FB page 3 (am) 6,895 fans

Instagram: 970 followers



What I’ve currently been doing:


So I started building up these smaller pages by sharing them within each other. It takes me about a weeks time to get a new page to 10k fans. I also got my Instagram page to 970 followers in about a weeks time with promoting it lightly.


My idea is that I’ll grow these pages to 10,000 fans and then let them grow organically by simply posting content daily. Still looking for a good auto poster. I know of Hootsuite but it’s pretty expensive. Also it has a limit of 10 posts a day per social media account.


I’m thinking of growing a bunch of these smaller pages that’ll promote my website and eventually the sites fan page.


I’ll keep progress reports of the pages growth and traffic coming once I start promoting the site. If you have any suggests please do share them =]

Total gain = 5243 Fans

So at this point I have not started posting content on my other pages I'm just constantly sharing posts from the new pages until they hit 10k fans. This is the reason why you are seeing minimal growth to negative growth on the first two pages. For instagram im posting once a day and allowing it to grow organically for right now.

I think I'm going to build up 5 of these facebook pages right now and see how they start to grow organically grow before I build more. Once I have these 5 pages going im going to start collecting emails from my fans and then go from there =)

Sharing them with my other pages so I started with my main shared the second page till it hit 10k started the 3rd one shared it with both the 1st and 2nd until it hit 10k now im sharing the 4th on all 3 until it hits 10k

Hey guys so here's another update I'm still only sharing content between pages which is why your not seeing an increase in likes on the older pages. Once I get all 5 pages to 10k+ fans I will stop the sharing between pages and post 5-10 times per day per page. Then we should see organic growth. My goal is to get page 4 and 5 to 10k by this next coming weekend.

Like I said in the last update I'm intending on building an email list once I reach the 10k goal my one question is has anyone ever used the company "SendInBlue" if so can you share your experience? or recommend a good email marketing service.

I have never built a list or have done email marketing so any guidance would be much apricated.

So I ran into a minor issue my largest page got hit with a shadow ban im hoping its only temporary haha. On the bright side I gained an additional 3,608 fans.

I think I'm going to stop inter-sharing pages for now and just focus on growing these pages organically along with building an email list. Im in the process with blue host trying to set up my email account to get things rolling.

has anyone had pages shadow banned before if so how long does it last?

Hows it going guys sorry for not updating for a little while. was having problems with the reach on the large account. Everything is running smooth now. Ive been promoting the Instagram page daily and the results have been great! almost at 2,000 followers!

Today I tested promoting my email list I already have 24 people signed up. In your opinions should I focus on building this email list or continue growing the instagram page until it can grow organically on its own? Not to sure what to do here. The main goal will eventually be to grow the email list and then use it to send the fans to my site but it doesn't seem efficient to grow right now. Please let me know. what you think.

once I earn 300 dollars Im going to invest it into a bot that essentially allows me to upload a mass amount of photos in to a pool then destribute them through out all my social media pages that way I don't have to do it manually. I already have the programer just don't want to spend the money out of pocket.

As of right now I was thinking just ads but I'm looking to build up my traffic sources first. Even with the amount of followers I have now I won't get much visitors.
