Yep, KGR or variations (like the Rule of 63) work incredibly well. If your site is established, you can get Page 1 rankings with a week or so. For a new site, I'd expect rankings in 6 weeks, but sooner if you use an aged domain or expired with backlinks.
The upside:
- barely any competition
- little money/effort required for backlinks
- can easily outsource writing the content
- traffic converts well if you picked money keywords (e.g. best X for Y)
The downside:
- each page will only bring a limited amount of traffic
- you need many pages of content to drive significant traffic/income
The reason KGR works is because most medium or large websites cannot afford to write content for every little niche keyword. It's a quick win for a small or new site. Use it to build topical authority so you an go after bigger keywords in the future.
