Important skills needed to create a successful Amazon Affiliate site?

What are some skills and things I need to learn to create a good Amazon Affiliate site? (and a source to learn these skills) I don't want to run into it unprepared. Thanks

There are some skills that can be usefull for amazon website:
- know how to write content
- research the niche as much as you can
- keyword research for targeted low competition keywords
- basic wordpress knowledge

You don't need to write content yourself, but you need $$$ to spend on content.

Aside from the above skills that mentioned, one of the most important but most people will lack off is determination.
Trust me, you can have all the skill in the world but if you start procrastinate along the way, the steam will eventually died off.
That is why, most of the wannabe digital marketer never found success. You just need to keep learning and pushing your way.

I think a major part of your journey would be to funnel sales to your Amazon site that will then be converted into your affiliate commissions. I don't think spending money on adverts will be any good since the commissions will not be sufficient to cover that. Thus, organic SEO traffic could be your primary source of traffic that would be used to generate sales. A great idea without sale is a bad idea as it is not selling. So maybe you can equip yourself with some good SEO skills as a base requirement.

1) You should know how to handle WordPress + a page builder
2) Be awesome at keyword research (find the keywords which can be ranked and also find some easy ones too)
3) You either have to write your own content or hire someone and you should have to ability to judge what's good and what's not
4) You have to write a lot! Whether it's an email to beg for backlinks or emails to VAs to see if they are doing quality work and what not :l
5) you should be able to get backlinks to the website and handle the strategy in good pace even if your site does not grow at that moment.

Treat it like a real business. You might get really successful

You don't need any special skills to start working as an affiliate, the most important thing is to have a knowledge of

• Niche market selection (idea generation, keyword research, competition analysis)
• Building framework (choosing a domain name, selecting theme, select & setup hosting)
• Setting up a blog or websowe relevant to your niche using CMS (WordPress, etc.)
• Research affiliate programs
• Content management plan (list of content topics, write/outsource)
• SEO and ways to boost traffic to your blog or website
• Link building and other promotional strategies.

Hi! Sorry to bother. Lets take it as an example that I am building a site for kid toys. If I want to promote more products through Amazon in the same niche, should I just add it to my site or create a new site and rank it for a new keyword?
