Movie Streaming site.

First of all, Hello! longtime lurker... sorry for that

So i saw some older threads about the movie streaming niche. My question is what if one would to host the movies and skip lets say Openload, how much internet speed would be needed for that do you think? 1Gbps ? 100Gbps ? more ?

I know it would depend on traffic so lets say 123movies would host their own movies and tv shows

You need a cluster of servers, so even a 100MBPS per server will do the job if its scaled and balanced well. ITs a matter of understaing networks and how the content is delivered

Well I have a thread here on what I did.
But in which what I did is.

I hosted all my content through google and amazons3 then purchased 3 medium sized servers handled with sufficient specs and 1gb lines.
In which I use them as a connection to access my videos on amazon and google so they're setup as a proxy server.

Then just embed it through my streaming site.

well they do but there are workarounds on it. Like I have done in which only a certain IP and domain is able to view my content. So technically they will not detect anything.

I don't really cover it but you may find your own twist or do it on your own.
I just provided what I'm doing and how I did it.
Not really gonna spoonfeed as you need to do it on your own.

Dedicated server for your movies, and another VPS server for your main site at the beginning, when traffic grow move your main site from VPS, to Dedicated server, that's it, and better to have an offshore servers!

The dedicated server for the movies would still need some internet speed wouldn't it ? The fastest offshore server i can find is 30Gbps would that be enough ?

Why cant the movies and the site be hosted at the same server ?
