Has anyone successfully taken down negative posts from thedirty? Any tips? I have a client on there and he's dying to get his info off of there.

Jees what a horrible website. Is there anything you can do legally for defamation?

I would argue how well their journalistic prowess actually is. Especially in the light of a well written legal action threat.

Burden of proof is upon them I would assume to be able to write the things they are writing and come to those conclusions.

A lot of the stuff there is actually criminal accusations. Things like date rape etc. That needs to be strongly evidenced before accusation.

I used to know a few ravers who got put on there.
Had total lies posted about them, in revenge style, which is basically what the site is all about.
At the time they refused to take down any information at all.
I do believe they remove photos if you file a DCMA but other then that, the ownership is pretty shady and well, straight up toxic/mean.
Good luck.

My wife's boss fired his secretary after his wife found her profile about how she looks to get romantically involved with executives and business owners only to accuse them of rape or extort them for money. She was pretty freaking hot and everyone was like "Aren't you married?" after he hired her. They found a bunch of other legal depositions and documents online about her that more or less point to what her dirty listing says.

I suspect the site is pretty shady... but funny story none the less.

Wow, sounds pretty bad. I can see why people would want to remove info from there. But after reading these anecdotes it doesnt seem very likely.
