I just got penalized by google for doing this. idk maybe its my theme acting out I will report tomorrow if I can recover if this is just a glitch just today or im really penalized.
Just figured out ad-inserter could be the culprit. Will update..

You should earn at least 2-4 USD; make responsive ads and optimize for mobile-first.

Why do you recommend responsive ads vs. fixed ads ? A lot of pages I've read mentioned that they had worst revenue vs. fixed ads? I'm half tempted to try responsive ads you see.

Thanks for your input.

Do you mean the WordPress plugin Ad Inserter? I'm using the pro version and I'm fireing shortcodes into my content. How big is the chance AdSense is going to give me a penalty?

Following this thread. Some great insights!

I don't know what other people did. I am far from being an expert in adsense, just my opinion from experience as many mobiles are not high end ones I prefer responsive.

So, here are the Adsense stats from one of my domains. I make pennies off of it. I don't know if there's a way to optimize it to earn more. Does this look normal to you?

What do you guys think?

Would be good to know much mobile traffic you have.

My advice:
Responsive inArticle ad before content (ATF)
Below fold fix the size to 250x300 and add ads between paragraphs. If you have long content, add lazy loading to the lower ad units. Learn how to us DFP (Google's ad server). Has doubled my adsense income.... not an easy task, but worth it.

Get more traffic and add premium demand from different SSP's or from a reseller.

You should be able to get a RPM of $10 and more out of your tier 1 traffic.

Is most of your traffic mobile or desktop? Check that and optimize accordingly.
Better yet, post a full-page screenshot here (and blur out sensitive information) so we can give suggestion on where to place the ads, ideal dimensions etc.

Just letting you know, you won't be making over $10/month with that amount of traffic - just so you're aware of it.

This doesn't solve the OP's problem nor contribute to a solution.

Remember, quality posts are more important than your "post count".

Funny seeing that from you after all your stupid threads constantly on the homepage.

ok so ad-inserter may be the culprit or the minification plugins I installed. I uninstalled all that stuff and now my traffic is consistent again.

sigh now im gonna think 50x before trying it out again maybe if I have courage or just place codes manually...

Are your ads showing today? I had 20$ consistently in last two weeks and today I am still at zero with the same traffic 1k UVs+

It disappeared in some pages few days ago but its back again now for some reason.

Your bounce rate seems kinda high to me. Have you considered optimizing your UX? Quality content should help as well.

I am able to create link ads and previously added codes are also working properly on my websites.
that's weird, I got an old AdSense and I can't find how to create those link ads anymore

am I missing something? :weep:

main header
before content
after 1st paragraph
after 3rd paragraph
end of content

Make sure you put responsive ads and use big rectangles before content on mobile
Hey man when you manually place responsive in-article ads on pages, does it mean it's already mobile-optimied?

Hi, nope, I get special header banner for mobile ( big rectangles ) and on the desktops leaderboards.
Can I know where/how to get this option? It's not in the 'Display ad' unit option. Or do you just use a fixed size for a particular ad banner and resize to 320x50?

Ok correct me if I'm wrong you said:

main header
before content
after 1st paragraph
after 3rd paragraph
end of content

so main header responsive
before content 320x50 or any other mobile good size
and the rest is responsive ads for desktop users right?
