Purpose of aged Youtube channels

Could someone please enlighten me on the merits of purchasing aged YT channels? Both with or without videos? Is this mostly for commenting on other videos (how is it best to comment from multiple accounts yourself?), or is it somehow helpful for your own, main YT channel, instead of creating your own new one? Can it later be changed to an account linked with GSuite? I guess the name can also be changed.

I read that if you commit an offense like uploading copyright content instead of deleting your channel if it is a new one they give you a warning if it is an old one. I don't have a personal experience
