Someone is posting sh*t about me, help

Hello everyone. Well, a moron former friend of mine with whom I am currently distanced is posting personal photos and false information on free wordpress blogs.

The problem is that he does everything with anonymous emails and with false IP, so it is difficult to prove that he is the culprit, although I have already reported him to the police (because he, also, anonymously is asking money to delete this, which is extortion, which is illegal), but he does not care.

I have also denounced the blogs to Wordpress, but when they remove it for violating the terms (for publishing documents such as my document for example, or my number and my address) he already has another one ready, created with another email, and with another IP address, so he’s screwing me up a lot.

Does anyone know any way to stop this? I have discussed with Wordpress all this problem, that they delete a blog and this idiot has another prepared, but they ignore me. Any suggestions or anything? I am having a very bad time.

1. You have truly reported this to the police? I mean, went to the station and filled out some forms?
2. You probably read all about this on https://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/ already?
3. Try emailing him, but be polite. Tell him that someone is posting your information and that you have already filed an official complaint. If he has any information, you'll be glad to have it (the last part is just bullshit, the first one is meant to scare him a bit)

Just keep doing what you are doing and he'll get bored eventually or someone else will piss him off more. Unless you've done something terrible.

If you do the same as him you risk also getting sued. And it sounds like a lot of effort. Setup some Google alerts for your name and just ask they are taken down as you are currently.

Continue to report him to WP and file DMCA claims against the sites. If you are sure it's him, you can report it to your local police as well. All he has to do is slip up once which he probably will.

I did the 3 things you mentioned. 1, yes, 2 yes, 3 yes and he acts like he knows nothing, but I know him, and I'm 99% sure he is doing this. Is just really difficult to probe all.

No, he's just really stupid, we fight for what friends fight, stupid things, he is just tanking all to the next level. I know I can get sued, that's why I would never do that.

Honestly, here I'd go for the strategy of gathering evidence that it's him, the guy you already suspect. I dunno how good your local police is with tech so he might not get charged if they don't look into it too hard.
This will easily be used once it reaches a serious stage if the judge/cops are at least decently tech-literate, and if not, you might need a representative (attorney) to convince them. Be careful not to break the law yourself or entrap the guy into admitting (inadmissible) guilt and giving up. I'm not good enough at this shit to suggest how exactly you can do this, but it's the only thing you can do to benefit yourself. Everything else relies on other people - cops, wordpress, dmca responses etc etc.

EDIT: there are forums and community hubs around the internet where you could get really good advice, tho I can't name them publicly as per the forum rules. Tho I think you'll know what I mean

Collect screen shots of all the things hes doing, but ignore him.
Once he realizes you don't care about what hes doing he will stop.

I have worked in image reputation management and you get different degrees on people. Some people are willing to keep going and others will mess about a bit and then end. None the less, damage is damage, now depending what you do, it can effect or change peoples perception of you and your business. Which will hurt you $$$$.

If he has been reported and continue to do so, he may well just do that to proove a point to you, that he has no intentions of stopping. These are the more dangerous types for your business. As depending how tech savvy they are, you can report to the police all you want but they will not be able to help you in anyway shape or form. I know you say extortion but firstly, you have to proove it's him. If you can't, you have no case at all.

Honestly, your best bet is to calm things down between you guys and then keep distance to him. Don't get involved with him anymore, but act friendly to him. This guy is totally fucked up to do something like this to a friend.

To your main problem: Just let him do it. Ignore it. He will stop sooner or later...and then you can remove all of it.

About the police: This guy is doing all this stuff to a friend. He doesn't seem to give any fuck, also not about the police. He must be very careless and reckless. It won't lead to anything with the police. So you have two options: Just let him to do it or take revenge by yourself. What I mean by revenge? No fucking internet stuff, visit him at night, beat him up, burn down his car. Anything like this. I can't recommend it tho.

You could flood the SERPs with authoritative content related to your name, which would make it hard for him to rank spammy WP blogs for your name.

Sending the links to friends/family is a bit harder to control, though. A problem like that would probably require a similarly illegal solution, but I would NOT do the same thing back to him, as that's just going to egg him on.

Up to you whether it's worth your time and the potential risk.
