Hi,
Has anyone had any issues with receiving PayPal payments? I received an order for physical products from one customer for over $1000, I currently am using interspire shopping cart which confirmed payment but PayPal shows no such amount.
I have however received smaller amounts below $50 which show into my account. Is there an issue with that amount maybe some sort of filtering? the customer appears to be legitimate.I called PayPal they can't see and pending payments. Just that for interspre to confirm order it must of completed check out.

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to 'see something' in your paypal account. Don 't send the product until you get the money. Maybe someone found a security hole on the interspire shopping cart? It 's updated?

It could also be in your settings, when you first sign up for paypal, they ask you what is the average order size you expect to receive, and order volume. Best thing to do, is call them really. They are really helpful.

Cheers.

check and see what your limits are.

I think there is a link that says view limits. and a way to raise your limits.

Not sure I fully understand, if you are using Interspire for your checkout, why would it show up with paypal? Do you an option for paypal as well?

Yes my only option is to accept payment via Paypal, save a lot of time stuffing around with merchant gateways etc.....is there a better method?

Thanks

I don't think I am understanding this or maybe I am not explaining myself.
(way too much halloween candy)

Paypal has it's own gateway that you put on your site.
But you are mentioning Interspire which is something different.
It sounds like you have both. If Interspire confirmed then you should find out from them what's going on.

Check the mailbox for the account that is registered with PP. The email subject will be something along the lines of, 'Notification of Payment Received'. If you've recieved no notification and paypal are saying no payment has been recieved - Then the 'Customer' is a fake.

These fake 'customers' target companies who recieve huge amounts of orders and rely on what the shopping cart tells them - They dont actually send the payment, there are various methods to do this. And allways check you've recieved the money before shipping out!

Peace!

Thanks Hex...couple of questons to answer to make myself clearer hopefully.....i am using the interspire shopping cart software and have enable in the checkout option to receive payment by paypal only....i.e when customer checkouts it directs them to paypal, no gateway with interspire even though they have that option, my question is to receive a confirmed order from interspire it must of completed checkout via paypal....your right must be fake customer....not sure how they do it.

Thanks

I know what you mean, i myself use interspire the same way you do. They use various methods to do avoid paying, once theyve completed the payment they are bought back to the to the shopping cart to a callback url which then automatically 'confirms' the payment in the backend of interspire - Hence we login and see 'awaiting fulfillment' as the order status.

I dont think its right to reveal on how they do it as it will only increase them in numbers making it hassle for people like me and you.

Allways verify every order manually, dont rely on interspire or any other shopping cart.

Thanks guys for all your help...will keep plotting along.
