Hi Guys, I'm fairly new to this whole process but I'm starting to have a firm understanding from reading everyone's useful information. I am an independent contractor in a heavily competitive area. I started my website a few years ago but didn't learn about the importance of a lot of other processes until about a few months ago. I have implemented a lot of on-site improvements and good content and a lot of pages have been indexed in the past couple of months. I've researched my competition and there are a lot of Franchises I am going against. No these are not Home Depot but for my particular industry, they are fairly strong domains.
I've seen them all use PBN and backlinks to exclusive networks that cannot be joined. I will say that I've made some adjustments and I've noticed a leap in my impressions and keywords by a large amount. My goals are realistic and I don't need to be on the 1st page but I would like to be competitive. I have started the slow backlinking process. I have time and patience and am willing to work hard to compete with the big dogs.
Over the next year, I'd like to spend time and improve my rankings. What is a solid approach you would take and where should I spend my time and energy?
