There is a free version of Hootsuite from which you can upload to Instagram. Works very well.

To find the free version, google it. Then you'll find a link. It's in a way hidden on the Hootsuite web page.

login your id into chrome and then open inspect element and then there is an tool named "toggled device manager" click on that and then refresh the ig page and it'll work like you're using ig into mobile version chrome browser, you can add photos/videos and also stories, you can even check the messages...

Open IG from your PC. Once you're logged in, right-click on the upper area where the search, explore, and profile buttons are located. Click inspect. Once the log is opened, at its upper left corner you'll see two buttons - the one on the left is for selecting an element to inspect and the one on its right is the one you need - 'Toggle device toolbar (Ctrl+Shift+M)'. Click on the toggle device toolbar button and then refresh the page. It will load IG as if it was opened from a smartphone. After that, you can close the log and proceed to upload pics

This is exactly what I was going to say. F12 gets you to the developer menu as well on Firefox. I think Chrome too or it's F11, not sure. Then click on the icon that looks like a phone. Been using this for a year or so for manual posts. Instabot for automated ones.

If you want to upload scheduled posts for free (at least that's the impression I get), you can use tools like Buffer or Tagscout. Buffer will ask you to confirm the post from your phone when its scheduled time comes. Tagscout does it automatically.

It's a collection of python scripts stored on Github. Search for "instabot.py" on google or ducks and you should find it easily.

Last time I used Buffer or Hootsuite to post to IG all it did was send a post to their app, which then would launch the instagram app (when it worked) and post through that. That's two more apps on my phone than I wanted (I have zero trust in IG/FB respecting my privacy and not stealing my phone's data). This way does not involve any apps, my phone or anything but my account password (stored locally and not sent anywhere that I can tell).

yeah i just tried buffer and it was very troublesome i mean it wasn't much helpful, and after using that i thought every other apps/sites do that like asking and confirming before posts

Yes, I don't know if Google steals it so much though. As a Gmail, Calendar, Photos, Android, Drive, Maps, Docs, Etc. user, I think I give them more info than they steal. I do disable the "OK Google" and don't have any of those "home" devices or their camera laden thermostats that monitor your every word... Faraday bags FTW!

Sadly, it took me a long time to get there. Google has 20 something years now of my emails and calendars. Not to mention all the fun I had with apps before knowing what I know now. Did you know that the face aging app that was so popular last week has in it's user agreement that the company that made it (a Russian company) owns the full rights to your face and can use it for whatever purpose it wants? Most likely, training an AI people say, but what's to stop them from using a photo of you in an advertisement or worse?
