Hi! i'm currently thinking about starting my own yt channel, well, i tried about a week ago but i got like 0 views, since i just created that yt account, it's obviously not monetized already, you guys think if i upload compilation videos related to the niche i will focus on and i manage to get subscribers from that, i can then delete those videos, upload mines and get monetized eventually?

also: I have a yt channel with 75k+ subscribers already (it was demonetized), but that's on another language (not english) and i want to target american audience, i'm not sure if i upload videos in english there i could grow(and eventually get monetized if i delete the videos that got me demonetized)

thanks

You could try that but you risk annoying your subscribers. Also, to get monetized you would need 4000 watch hours also, so if you suddenly change videos you would need them to watch those new videos as I'm not sure the views from the deleted videos would still count.

If you delete videos your channel's authority falls and you risk of being ghosted from your subs

Thanks for the replies, i was thinking of deleting the compilation videos once my actual videos get a good ammount of views (if that ever happens) i don't know, i guess its worth trying it, i have nothing to lose at this point, if that doesn't work out i can always start from scratch on another channel

whats the use of 75k subs if you are not earning from the channel. its pretty much useless unless hes one who is just doing youtube for the fun of it. its safe to say 90% of people are putting videos on youtube to make some money. if his 75k subs channel is demonetised , he can change niche, and start posting videos that can get his monetisation back. Sure he will lose subs but not many.

yes do that. its not easy to grow on youtube these days if you dont know what you're doing. change your 75k subs niche, dont worry about losing subs. you re demonetised anyway
so the only way you could get monetisation back is changing to a niche acceptable to youtube's terms.
dont delete old videos until you have posted some new ones.

Why were the videos demonetized? Due to lack of views or for some other reason?

If you're in a banned country you won't be able to monetize them even if you get a billion views so keep that in mind.

You can make all video private and change niche/name of the channel and graphics.
If you channel was on another language you risk to lose a lot of audience plus subs and your new videos may get less views.
But if you channel is demonetized i think you have almost nothing to lose,it's worth a try.
Now adsense it's more strict,it's difficult to get monetization with compilation.

I would make a new channel, never change the type of content of a channel or you will loose all your audience

The subs mean absolutely nothing don't worry about pissing off your old audience, you're going to be looking for a new audience. You should run your new content on that channel because the 75k subs can be used when it's time to monetize.

The thing you need is watch time though so you need to gain it with your new videos which will take a while unless you decide to bot them from a legit source.

You should take the old videos down and just start putting the new videos up and use those to grow the 4,000 watch time hours. To echo what other people have said any deleted videos will not count towards watch time they have to remain up.

If you want monetization make sure it's content that doesn't match 3rd party copyright content because I have heard of stuff getting demonetized for being reused as well so be careful about that stuff also.

Another thing you might want to consider is spending money on an already monetized channel I heard this is easier than going through the review process these days. Legit accounts are going for $300-$600, I wouldn't buy any on forums like PlayerUp and stuff because there's a lot of frauds.

Right now I'm sort of in your situation I had an old legacy channel from 2008 with 3k subs on it but it had porn on it so I took those videos down now I'm rebuilding it as a music channel for live stream content.

Where would you buy from? I read bad things about Fameswap last week on this forum so not sure that's the best option. I'm assuming you're referring to some sort of escrow service.

I agree, I have two accounts there for more than 3 months for sale !! More people are afraid of being fraud!
fraudsters destroy the real and honest!

You can buy enough high quality fake views for $300 to get enough watch time for monetization. I wouldn't spend that on a channel for it to change hands. Tons of people get demonetized once it changes hands.

There are tons of other ways to slowly generate passive income from your channel aside from superchat and adsense. Discord bots, Patreon, your own website, merch, Amazon affiliates, etc.

Thanks, I wasn't referring to myself. I was just curious as to where one would buy without getting scammed. You're right, the demonitization is a big problem right now on Youtube, all you need to do is sneeze the wrong way haha.

You're right though, with new problems new solutions are needed. Some great opportunities out there still if you're willing to put in the effort.

The Tony Montana System that I recently learned about will help you not have to make money through AdSense or get scammed buying an account.

I gotta test out this Tony Montana method myself so it's not to be trusted fully but if I get this to work it'll be making hella money off of YouTube through their ads.
