BTW what is filtered images ??? does it make any difference getting images from free stock sites ??

Filtered images are images that are not copyrighted. If you want to use images on Google, you have to do an advance search to choose only the ones that are free to use. If you have access to stock images, then you'd better off using them. Google algorithm sees images as texts. If you use copyrighted images, your application would be rejected immediately; and you'd be told thay you have auto-generated contents on your site.

How do I make sure to use copyright free images? I run a news website, and I use pictures made by news photographers, and always mention who took the picture. This would cause problems when I apply for Adsense soon?

Well, the fact that you're giving credit to the owners does not mean anything to Google bot. However, don't just take my word for it. Try to apply first, if you got rejected, you'd just have to remove the images and apply again. After you get accepted, you can then use any image you like.

Sure. I use the free Astra WP Theme for new sites. I only add a basic logo and leave everything else like it is after installation.
For others here: I don't add any pictures to my content until the site got approved. Text only. 20 family friendly articles should be enough (you can delete and reuse them after approval).
Like said here before, make sure that you have a correct private privacy page + contact page. Verify your site on google search console (DNS verification) before applying to adsense. Don't add the adsense code to any pages without or low content.
Maybe you can skip some steps, but that's how it works for me.

I went to my AdSense account and what it seems is that of course you don't need to apply for a new AdSense account since you are allowed to have only 1 account for all your assets (websites, youtube channels, etc.). But it seems that you have to add your website to your AdSense account as your property to keep it clean and safe.
In any case I'm sure Google can see where your ads are placed whether or not you added your new website to your AdSense account. And I'm sure that if your new website will not meet the requirements and guidelines of AdSense then you risk to get banned.
So I guess you can place the ads to your new website right away but make sure that everything is up to their guidelines.
These are my thoughts.

its more than 5 years. My account got banned and reapplying not accepted by adsense.
