Opera launches Opera GX Gaming Browser

Looks pretty good. Downloaded it and I might find it useful.

Let's see if they will take any % from Chrome

I honestly think they will with this approach. I just instantly clicked when I saw the ad on Youtube, I can imagine all the Twitch viewers and gamers doing the same. Great work done by Opera, hope they become a major market player.

Good marketing but a useless browser. Doesn't do anything for gaming other than the cool design. A computer powerful enough to play quality games doesn't need to limit browser resources.

You realise LOL, Overwatch, CS:GO and Fortnite are the most played (and watched) games? None of them require a high-end PC to play and I'm sure limiting browser resources will prove it's worth IF implemented correctly + Twitch and messenger integration. The browser still has a long way to go but calling it useless means you didn't even read the features before commenting. I agree the marketing is well thought out.

Overwatch and fortnite need a decent PC though . frame drops are gonna cost you a lot while playing these two games. :)

Just installed. Looks great and has a ton of useful features. I am always needing new browsers for managing social profiles so why not.

I played them on a 6-year-old PC without any issues. Decent =/= high-end

very impressive and perfect platform for gaming lovers highly recommended.

My PC isn't exactly a high end gaming rig and I've played LOL with multiple browser tabs open, quite often listening to music from YouTube and I've never had problems with the game. I did read the features and they are nothing but fancy talk to pull in gamers or those who like the design. If not a potato PC then browser resource use should not affect gaming at all.

I hate opera because of lack of many addons that firefox has. Even chrome is better than Opera.

I agree that is something they will have to work on. I don't use many plugins, so that doesn't affect me much.

I was talking playing both the games competitively.
I played overwatch in 750 ti with i3 processor and 4 gb
It was working smoothly but i was never able get out of silver because of the graphic and lag issues.
thats why i switched to 1080 and 16 gig ram + i7
for me this is decent to play any game competitively.

The limiters are nice, been using Opera for years as a default browser for macs. I run into very few people that are aware it even exists.
