Cloudflare has an impact on SEO?

I contacted cloudflare customer support and they said It can be possible.
I will not remove cloudflare but I am changing it to custom name servers and custom SSL.
I believe it should have positive effect, If the ranking doesnt change then their IP address can be the reason or one of the reasons that Google doesnt like it.

Im hosting all my sites: half USA half Sweden. No CDN at all. Some sites are mainly dedicated to UK or Canada. Some France, Brazil or whatever.

Couple of years ago Matt spoke about where you host your website. It doesnt matter. If Google UNDERSTAND that content X fits better for let's say... Germany, your site will rank first even If it's hosted in Japan.

Local SEO has changed the game. Thats why you MUST target your audience.

Easy example. I rank #2 for XYZ Escort services in Paris and the sites are hosted in Austin, TX. CDN? Waste of resources.

CDN is all about security these days. No longer about speed.

Direct site access for medium/low traffic sites is almost always faster.

One page sites are doing grate. If you master Elementor you got a huuuuuge head start. If you need a lot of Pages... Make use of swapping left-right.

My ranks have just gotten better and better. Still yet to turn on Cloudflare.

I use cloudflare because im so scared of ddos attacks.

I use wordpress mostly so that might make me more susceptible

Just to let you know, I disabled cloudflare and got big improvements in keywords. And its still going up and up.

People who use cloudflare and try to rank Low-Competition Keywords for a long while and not have any success, should test it out without cloudflare.

It's 2021 but this thread never been so actual. Currently remove some domains from cloudflare and BOOM, the "sandbox" has died.

I noticed first improvements 1-2 weeks after pausing cloudflare on the site. There were some spam and porn sites withing the shared IP I used. You can check it here: https://viewdns.info/reverseip/

Also I moved from shared cloudflare ssl to lets encrypt ssl on server side.

I dont know which of these 2 factors had an impact on the site, or maybe both?

Even Neil Patel uses Cloud flare.
This site gets tons of traffic from Google.

I personally have examples of sites using cloudflare that ranks well. It's not the point. It's the possibility of SOME sites in SOME IP RANGES (by cloudflare or shared hosts) rank poorly, specially new sites who do not have trust yet because of the bad neighborhood.

So its definitely the shared IP which needs to be proven.

Yes its like vict0r mentioned, if you dont have a bad neighboorhood then cloudflare will be very good option to go with.

My site was ranking on 6 th page without cloudflare.
When added cf ranking dropped to 10th page in 2 days with no reason.
I thought it was an update. Now i think it is cloudflare neighbour sites.

you should work on user experience. try to get the green score. now google is more focusing on user experience.
