Name your Guru...or mentor who taught you a trick or Two.....

Thesre are lot of so-called gurus in market....But their products are rehashed shit.

Let's spot out the best Gurus out from the rest.....

I stick with the guys that have been around a long time. Its their stuff all the new guru's rehash anyways. Marlon Sanders, Dan Kennedy, Jonathan Mizel, etc

12 months ago I would have said Dan Kennedy (still like him) Gary Halbert (lucky enough to have known him personally), but now days I would have to say HaRRo, havokb8, and Pofecker. I am not saying this to kiss their asses, I just learn a lot from them.

All offer useful products that perform as advertised.
All take excellent care of the members of their lists.
Emails from them are NOT box clogging sales pitches.
(They only write when they have something useful to say)

The stuff in their emails could make excellent products
all by themselves, and I'm getting them just for being
on the list. Most lists are a pain. These are not.)

John Delavera qualifies, WHEN he sends good stuff.
Otherwise, you gotta wade through all the "buy my stuff" emails.
But it's worth the hassle.

There is also a wealth of info on this forum, the trick is finding it.

I agree with most already mentioned, especially of the old school variety. I'd also throw in Joe Sugarman, Ted Nicholas and Joe Karbo. Although Joe's books are shit, he still needs mentioning for being a bit of a God Father to Direct Mail.

Of the self-proclaimed "guru" variety, I'd say Eben Pagan, Gauer Chaudry and Ryan Deiss seem to come closest to delivering on promises. But then I've only glanced over a few of their products and I don't purchase IM products anymore, as they seem to cause paralysis through analysis.

I'd like to mention Yanik Silver as well, just simply because i've met the bloke and found him a properly nice guy. I can't say i've really sampled his products, but he did give me a $2k course on making money through the public domain a few years ago , it just never really interested me and is still wrapped up and boxed somewhere!

"BHW" has taught me more than any so called "guru" ever has. Alot of people throw away a lot of money just to hear these gurus talk about state of mind, which incidentally is the reason most people fail @ IM. Limiting Beliefs. I feel a rant coming on... but i'll leave it for another day and another thread...:rant:

I agree, BHW and my own research have taught me way more than any so called "Guru."

There is a certain "guru" who likes to sell "Your Best Life Now" type courses for $500 a piece while claiming he is out to help the little guy learn how to make a living online through the "Power Of Technology." The more I watch him and what he does...the more I dislike him. :rant:

Any one care to take a guess at who I am talking about? Shouldn't be too hard to figure out, he's a big name in the MLM industry right now....

I haven't learned a whole lot from him, but I thank him daily for creating Squidoo! I guess if you count teaching me how to pitch an MLM...I would say Dean Kosage from WorldWide Dream Builders (Amway).

The man knows how to sell a dream...no one can deny that.
