Adult website journey

Ok, guys, this is my first journey posted here. The main goal of this journey will be to keep me motivated to keep working and also share my experience with others and also learn new stuff from other experienced users.

What i will do is to buy a new porn related domain name set a website and promote it by reuploading videos on xvideos. What i wish to accomplish is to have 5k daily visitors coming from xvideos and rank my website on google.

Here i will keep track of how many views my videos get on xvideos, how many visitors my website gets from xvideos and how my website rank on google.

For the moment i redirect all my traffic to a cpa offer since my website lacks content. So google analytics photos will come later in this journey.

some advice (I have been running porn sites for many years):

adultforce.com banners will mostly only convert on "mainstream" traffic (pornstar porn, babes, teens, etc)

it will be very difficult (basically impossible tbh) to get google traffic for this kind of niche w/o expensive, large backlink profile and very high-quality site

you CAN get google traffic with very niche stuff, for example my sites get traffic for things like crush fetish, female body builder, etc

if you foucs on mainstream (adultforce kinda shit) you probably won't get google traffic, so you can go ahead and show pops and other things google doesn't like

if you focus on fetish/niche you can probably get google traffic, but the adultforce banners won't convert. you'll want to use things like video sliders and native ads from exoclick.

Also if I want to be indexed by Google. Pop-ups are annoying anyway.

I will still focus on "mainstream" porn but targeting less competitive keywords. I will keep in mind your suggestions

you can use popunders and still get a ton of google traffic, it really just depends how you use them. if you use them right google will never notice or care, if you are too aggressive/dumb about it your site could get de-indexed

on my sites I use cookies to track how many page views the user has made in the current session, and I add a popunder on the 3rd page view (and only if the user-agent doesn't look like googlebot). the popunder only triggers on certain classes. Doing these things makes it a lot less likely google will ever notice my popups (since by default they don't use cookies when they crawl), and it's better user experience too.

Also, there's a new format lately, "video sliders", exoclick and clickaine both have them. They work really, really, really well, I'm earning more from them than from popunders (which I never thought would happen, I thought pops would forever and always be most effective monetization for adult sites)

Yes maybe in the future when I will have over 10k visitors I might try Pop-ups but they are so ineficient for advertisers that in the future less and less people will use it. Video sliders and pre rool ads might be the feature.

Well you're certainly right that less and less people will use pops, but it's not because it's inefficient for advertisers. Advertisers LOVE pops.

The issue is that browsers are blocking them, and google is penalizing sites that use them too aggressively.

In 2015 I could show a pop to every person who hit my site. In 2019 I'm careful about it; pops are only shown on certain page views under certain conditions.

Video sliders and pre-roll ads (and native ads) are definitely the future.
 
exoclick didint approve my domain name man .. they say it was related to main porn site name

How about the CPM? what's your avarage CPM?

pops anywhere from $.80 to $1.20

sliders anywhere from $.20 to $.30

natives anywhere from $.02 to $.10

it depends on the geo, network, and zone placement (next-to-video is better than footer for example)

Also remember that sliders can have better revenue-per-user even with lower overall CPM than pops, because you can show them more often. I show an average of 1 pop per 5 users. I show an average of 1 slider per 1 user.
