[Advice Needed] Expired domain

Hi,

i have found an expired domain which has no backlink history other than age of 7 years. Can buying it is useful instead of purchasing new domain.? I mean can i start heavy link building due to its age or i just have to treat it like new domain.

aged domains which have no history are some time not worthy ,because google mark as dead due to no work or may be some penalty was?yes on aged domain we able to start link building but that is suspicious too while we have no backlink before on this so as per mine if you wanna chose old domain then chose some which have some back link history with some indexing and if you chose some with good DA/PA that will bring more for you

What does the who is history say? How is the archive.org profile looking? What content was on the domain prior? Is it indexed at all in Google?

Expired = zero day old

So no benefit over a brand new domain, if it does not have decent links you can resurrect. I look for expired domains with good history and decent links I can try to get Google to recognise again.

Auction domains = non dropped domains which are clean and with good links = Gold

This is something I currently analyzing with a 40 DA domain I'm managing (not expired, but nearly expired without new content in the last 10 years).
It's hardly receiving 20 visits per day with a lot of quality content, and the link profile is really impressive.
Very weird overall... Maybe one day explodes, is from a client (not SEO client, dev client), but I'm analysing the SEO for "free" for research purposes, because it's a weird situation.

just make sure about indexing speed because i faced an issue i got a domain with good repo but after purchased my indexing was slow about new articles i submitted to webmaster or doing alot but that was not worthy for mine

for mine i did't get any way to analyse but when i purchased i put new articles and then submit via sitemap to webmaster and tried by fetch link too but thats not worked so i left and chose some other so that is my experience but hope you will get good results

personally i do recommend with some PA/DA but if some domain looks worthy without PA/DA then not a big deal go with that but be sure don't pluck a penalized domain

yeah. it's between choosing a new domain or this one. I am sure domain is not penalized.

A couple blog comments doesn't mean that much if they are not indexed but it would provide you with at least some starter content which can be good for you. I'd suggest using the expired domain for maybe like a trial run or tester site while buying a new domain which will be key to your business or whatever else you are going to be doing. If the expired domain has backlinks then you could funnel traffic from that domain to your main money site

My links do index instantly via GSE but i'm having difficulties on going up in the rankings for easy keywords.

There is something that is disturbing me and it is a multilanguage mechanism I've developed, that translate into 100+ languages, with hreflangs and all that but I think it's creating loops with thousands of newly generated url that are doing more bad than good. After doing an audit it found like 1 million+ pages in total, so I definitely think that this is what Google is penalizing the site not the aging...

Still under research. My trials are more awkward everyday.

Expired domains must be purchased looking at many factors, not only the age according to me. Citation Flow, Trust Flow, PA, DA, Archive, RD, Spam %.... there are many things to look, infact age would be the least important factor for me.

Age alone is useless, backlinks is where it's at. I have written a 3000+ word guide on expired domains and will upload on my blog in due time.

Expired domains are only useful to you if they have a decent backlink profile.

The backlinks should be from relevant blogs/websites and anchor text should be exact match, domain, and some keywords.

Yes, in my experience it will definitely reduce the "sandbox" time.
However, it's not like you'll write an article and it indexes on page one right away.
