Hello Guys,

I got a question about bitcoin.

Actually I transferred BTC from blockchain wallet to my local exchanger address, now the thing is TX ID is still showing unconfirmed its been more than 48 hours now.

Is it normal with bitcoin ?

Thank You.

what is the fee you put? how many sats per byte?

Thank you for your reply,

Fees $ 0.07
Fee per byte 3 sat/B
Fee per weight unit 0.75 sat/WU

Actually it was normal fee by blockchain

it should've been confirmed already but it seems theres like 28-29k txs in mempool now so it may take more time
if your wallet has RBF enabled and u need the transaction to be confirmed within the hour, increase your fees to 60 sats per byte.

Yea should have done that :(. Do you think it will take more than 24 hour from now on ?

That's weird, usually you'd see at least 1 confirmation within 10 to 30 minutes. I've had something similar happen when the fee I paid was too low and it took a few days to arrive. $0.07 sounds quite low IMO.

Fee was allocated by blockchain itself. I should have increase the fee but I forgot to do so :(.

Unfortunately, there is not even a single confirmation.

it's okay, i have the same problem sometimes, transaction will be conformed soon or the later

I learnt that the hard way. Don't be a cheapskate with the fees or you could be in for a long wait.

Did it go through now? I've seen transactions pending for days with low fees.

The way the Bitcoin blockchain works is that the miners choose which transactions to confirm and in order to get the highest profits, they confirm the transactions that has the highest fees each time. Therefore, if your transaction fee is too low, then it will constantly be at the bottom of the queue and in some cases, it can be never confirmed. Therefore, before you make a Bitcoin transaction, you should either send a small amount to test first or take a look at the recommended fees online.

What was an amount you ve sent? I ve got some stuck with fees also, I was sending 350 usd and blockchain was put a fee as 17 cents only, I was waiting 4 days, than I put own fee, min 1 usd, to make it higher

I think that in this moment the transaction is confirmed 100%. Good luck with your work!
