Static home page or not?

What are you asking??
I am using cloudflare edge servers to store my dynamic WordPress pages as static pages.

Whenever I update the post I manually clear the cloudflare cache to see the changes.
You said: "I am using cloudflare edge servers to store my ... "
what i heard is: "hello, i am coming from planet Mars, our technology there is 1000 years more advanced. We are using cloudflare edge.. bla bla bla 2#$@$@" lol
Sorry i dont unterstand a word! :) too advanced stuff for me!
When i make a new post, then in my template this post has more recent date, so when someone visits the site he will see that post instead of the static page (if that page is a post too).
One way to overcome this is to change the date of the homepage post to a future date so that never happens.
Other way is to build a permanent PAGE, and make a custom redirect as a home page.
Please if its possible try to explain to me if there is another way?
Thank you for your reply!

And I don't understand your words....

First which CMS are you using for your Blog ?

WordPress,Blogger......?

I always put the most important post ( mostly about 1500 words ) as static page

For a blog, do you guys recommend a static page with redirect as home page? or a blog post that uses future date so that its always on top of other articles?

have you thought about using "sticky" post concept? don't do future date post. use sticky concept
