The next big social platform?

Maybe TikTok. But I really hope VK can be bigger outside Russia someday.

I hope VK will reach america audience.
It won't happen though because VK has nothing to offer, it's a bad copy of FB, and that's a compliment.

What I've seen are annoying limitations, too much Russian content, adult content, child pornography - tons of it etc.

So, it has content for at least people interested in stuff I mentioned. But, it's not really HQ, at least IMO.

It's hard to predict. But I don't think tiktok because it's more like youtube.

If either starts to make any real headway Facebook will just buy them.

Look, I'm testing a new not exactly social platform, but ecosystem https://beta.u.is/ which may be interesting to many people. Look, the main point is that it's decentralized P2P network, which means it's quite secured. Then, the number of functions it represents: email, messenger, channels, browser, mining and many more. It's quite convenient to do everything in one place. So you can check it. Maybe that is the future :)

Maybe Telegram can make a way over Whatsapp, giving all the issues with Whatsapp nowadays. And not to mention the latest issue also.... 25million mobile phones were infected and whatsapp played a part in it. So I think whatsapp might make a way for Telegram.

The big platforms are giants now. Unless someone comes up with something completely new. I don't see anyone breaking up the monopoly they hold

Does someone has an opinion about Imgur? Was thinking about creating a niche account there.

They're smart, they're going the popular meme route with their homepage at least, even though they're a image upload service.

Also, their photos are able to rank on Google as well. Not sure if they're working on promotion, having big budgets for marketing etc.

I tried reading their explanation but still don't really get what it is.
