As many as 25 million Android phones have been hit with malware that replaces installed apps like WhatsApp with evil versions that serve up adverts, cybersecurity researchers warned Wednesday.

Dubbed Agent Smith, the malware abuses previously-known weaknesses in the Android operating system, making updating to the latest, patched version of Google’s operating system a priority, Israeli security company Check Point said.

There is software out there that with the correct keywords can find any information there is out there of you and can even show live feed of your cameras.
This is nothing, not even close to scary.

Nothing is secure, if they tell you it is, it’s a lie.

And yes, people can very easily scan ports and find open IP’s.

As well as other info also known as “OSINT”

There is a lot of 0Day exploits out there no one knows about apart from the coder..
 
Android phones, and other phones too, are not sure. Period.
Criminals don't use mobile phones.
 
If only there was a single button you could press that would render you complexly immune.

Yep. They are often sold on underground forums or to governments years before they are made public and patched.
 
This is very true. Ads have taken over my android phone. Even when I delete some apps, they will re-install themselves
 
Don't install anything from 3rd party app stores, which if i'm not mistaken is the default setting for Android devices. If you override this setting, it's on you. This malware was downloaded from an app store owned by Alibaba.

Do a factory reset.
