Plagiarism Checker

Copyscape premium is a great tool for plagiarism checking.

So for my website, I am writing biographies of famous people. Most of the stuff I am writing are known facts. So whenever I put my writings into plagiarism checkers, I get called out for only being 50% unique. None of the sentences are copied word for word, it's just similar small phrases that add up. Is this smth google would consider plagiarized work and penalize my site?
The ideas and particulars cannot be copied but you should give your source and information as what you planned. Make sure you does not copy word-for-word so that you no need to work for plagiarizing.

Free plagiarism checkers like Edubirdie might be giving false positives. You're better off using Copyscape premium to be sure.

With Copyscape premium, if there's two many instances of the same string of words then it will obviously detect the original source.

Seems Edubirdie is too sensitive if it highlights random short phrases like "football coach"

If it still happens when using Copyscape premium, then it's better to switch certain words to another, and paraphrasing certain sentences.

Again, don't rely too much on the free alternatives, keep it simple, use Copyscape.
