buying an old domain for amazon affiliate ?

Hi all ,
I was wondering if it make sense to buy an old domain that has been deleted related to my niche that I am playing to promote on my site?.
I have found an old domain with 130,000! backlinks . my only problem with it is it has - in the domain name . for example my-rowing-machine.com (my-"niche-name".com) . is there anything else I should look for If i buy an old domain that includes my niche?

It has so many backlinks that it makes me think that it was penalized by google.. But just a guess ofc. If you can get it for chap and restore the content, go for it.

How do you restore the content of an old domain that is not belong to you?

Not that I am planning to do what you suggest since i'm about to create an affiliate website , it's not that hard .
lets use the example above for a domain with the word "rowing" .
rowing-encou.com has 10,000 backlinks and is not active anymore (you can register it).
http://web.archive.org/web/20020925134706/http://www.rowing-encou.com/ is where you can see a snapshot and get whatever you want.

we are on the same boat. when you get the info feel free to share it here . i have been reading case studies all over the net (including BHW) and decided to just go for it.

It may have some sense, but do you know how to check domain for spam for being indexed in search for DA, PA and TF, CF and other Moz metrics ? It's very good that it have 130000 backlinks, problem is what is the backlinks ? Spam blasts ? No way

Look it up with the wayback machine (internetarchive dot org). When you find the site mirror it and adjust the links accordingly.
