What do you guys think about the altcoins? Will they follow?

If BTC moves up, usually all the market goes together as well. (I am not talking about BTC/Alt pairing), rather dollar wise, though.

I'm not sure that's true, I mean it could have SOME impact, but definitely not the main one. Overall, let's not forget the crypto market is heavily manipulated by large stacks of BTC holders. It had been and will probably continue to be in the nearest future, since it's unregulated.

News are also very important. Most analyst opinions I read are talking about the confrontation of US and China that results in failure of Chinese currency against others. This causes hundreds of millions of people to convert their money to other currencies an Bitcoin is the first choice because it is not controlled by any country especially not by China.

If that was the case the effect probably would be even bigger than it is right now, anyway, let's hope that's the cause and we will see more increase in the price.

It has predicted really close the bottom at 3k and it seems we could be reaching a new ATH in the next few months.

It is interesting that the Cryptocurrency forum here gets more active when Bitcoin goes to $10,000. Well, what does this show? People are FOMOing. When the price goes up everyone goes and buy and this is why the price is increasing very fast but this is actually a signal telling you be be careful. Once all the buying money is exhausted, price will do down when people start taking profits and people start panic selling. Just some advice, don't invest what you can't afford to lose and be careful with chasing pumps.

Well if you don't trade, it's not very interesting topic for people, because it doesn't look very promising when the price dives so much or stands still. I agree and said it before, that as long as you don't invest what you can't afford to lose, you will be ok.

$11,300 less than an hour ago. Then back to $10,600.. Such a volatile market. It would be hard to make money out of it now aside from trading. Facebook seems to push this value higher when it talked their own crypto... But I say, it would be back down to $6k by the end of July.

No way it bounces back to $6k by that date, mate. I'm pretty sure it won't go lower than $9k any time soon.

Yes, exactly. As they say buy the rumour, sell the news but people tend to do it the other way round.

Same. Alts normally go down when Bitcoin pumps because people sell altcoins to buy Bitcoin but once Bitcoin starts going sideways, Altcoins will recover.
