Family is really important. If something happened to you, they will be probably the first persons to come to help or support you. Don't forget that.
You should visit them unless your parents did something terrible wrong to you. Then you definitely should.

I come back to my own country ( a poor one and corrupted ) to stay with my father as my mom passed away a long time ago and he is alone around. I lost a lot of money, connections and a good way of living for him and I don`t regret it.
I am not sure how are your parents but good or bad they are still your parents, stay with them and enjoy every second.
I wish my mom be here even 10 minutes again with me, I am almost 30 years old and I miss her for 15 years; I am not bitching myself but think twice.
Family first, better late than never.

I can see my parents only for 1 month in the summer and during the Christmas holidays, so yeah I try to spend most of my time with them during these periods.

I love spending time with my parents. Remember they have been through everything you've been through as far as growing up and building your own life is concerned, so if your reasoning is that you feel disconnected from them, or that you don't have enough in common, then forget about that. Meet up with them and just be yourself and I am sure you will find that its very enjoyable.
Remember also that your parents have dedicated their entire lives to bringing you up - that's something I have learned only after becoming a parent - how much your life changes because now for the first time there are other people you consider more important than yourself - and thats how your parents will have always considered you. To have someone like that in your life is extremely fortunate because there is nobody else in the world that cares about you even a tenth as much as they do about themselves. So please don't neglect that.

I guess it really depends on the relationship. Sometimes the parents themselves are not really connected to their children after some time. For example I haven't heard of my mother for a long time. Once she messaged me and asked about money. Not really nice

I never had a real dad and I have very good reasons why I don't speak to my mom anymore but you? IF there is no real reason stop taking having parents for granted if not, invite me to where you' re at so I can kick you in the nutz!

Im divorced and I have a 4 yo daughter. The reason of my life. Now shes crazy about her daddy and love to be called my little princess.
I ser her twice a week and when she sees me coming she jumps and hold me so tight that I almost cry for so much love from her.
