No bro, stable coins are stable for ever unless something happens to the company or if the coin is running on a smart contract based block-chain and some bug is happening on the chain, other wise coin is stable . For an example USDT company is not auditing the coin so, it is too risky to hold USDT,.

If Libra is going to be a stable coin, then there is no point in buying it at the start. If it gets popular after the launch, then we can use it as our stable currency; if it doesn't, we can go back to the old ones like trueUSD or Tether. Personally, with the big names behind this coin, I think this coin will dominate the stable coin market and become the most popular stable coin. Nonetheless, I shall keep looking at non-stable coins for investment purposes.

People should get used to this because this is the kind of coin we will see from companies using crypto currencies. Remember everyone touting blockchain this and blockchain that, decentralized banking, yada-yada-yada, and how it was going to change the world and fiat is going away?

I hate Facebook, but do like this project not because of what it’s offering but because it’s bringing crypto talks back to the media and when there’s crypto news, there’s crypto volume.

Let's see the good thing about Libra which is the biggest FREE marketing for the BlockChain industry & CryptoCurrency in general.
People who knows nothing about CryptoCurrency or BlockChain will now dig more about what it is which means more liquidity to this domain which leads to the moon lol ( talking seriously).

I was hoping amazon would start accepting btc and that would be the push needed for btc to actually be used.

Like others have said here this is going to be a good thing for crypto. This will boost crypto and blockchain awareness. Eventually volume in crypto as a whole should be increased with a lot of new money put into the space.

Crypto is here to stay and although I wish it wasn’t Facebook to do this push, it is needed. This is the next step to boost crypto back to the forefront of media and get it back on track to going higher in price.
