links for high quality Tier 1 backlinks

I apologize if this has been beaten to death, but I can't quite find a clear-cut answer to my question anywhere.

I have got some high DA backlinks that are at least five or six years old. However, I need to do something as I am not ranking in the top 10 for medium difficulty keywords.
In 2019, should I build T2 links to this awesome backlinks, or should I just build more t1 high-quality links?

If I build T2 backlinks 2 my T1 backlinks, can I just use GSA set on high quality filters, with decently spun material? Is this worth the effort at all in 2019?

oh I plan on doing this. I'm just trying to figure out where to put the scarce resources for this first. tier 2 links to high quality t1 backlinks or just concentrate on more T1 at this moment.

I would suggest you to build more T1 backlinks. And don't just go with high DA backlinks, check their quality also like they are real blogs or just web 2.0 sites.

Take the real blog links which are having good DA/PA and good organic traffic too, it will surely increase your medium difficulty keywords ranking.

What do you mean by high DA backlinks? DA is only a metric - often very useless. GSA is okay for web 2.0s or for indexing backlinks. But if you want to rank medium comp. keyword you need good guest posts or PBNs.

I am doing outreach as well, but this is much slower. do you think that high DA niche relevant manually posted blog comments with links, as described by Loopline with using scrapebox would be effective? I am not talking about spam, I am talking about either using carefully edited, high-quality spun material, and manuel comments pertinent to the topic.

Using GSA on the guest post is the worst idea ever. Website owner won't be happy if you spam his website with GSA links and you might end up with a deleted post.

This^. Spamming people`s website with shitty links is evil. Lots of websites owners are aware of this and will delete your guest post (non refundable) and even 301 the shitty spam page back to your website.

Without seeing the exact links you say that you have built 5-6 years ago I and probably others can't know what to do in this case.

For powering your tier 1 links, that's right. You should do it nowadays to increase the efficiency, especially if you're building links on inner pages that won't get listed on the homepage and similar situations.

You could do outreach links on real sites with traffic > good PBN posts. Only 2 tiers would be perfectly enough if both tiers are placed on good sites.

Also, the reason why you might not be ranking could be that your homepage doesn't have enough power. You should have more links to your homepage than inner pages usually. That's how the ratio works on most of the sites.

Moz have considered the comment links as spam, and on the recent moz update, all the blogs whose DA/PA has decreased is because of comment links only. So for increasing DA/PA, the comment links are not helpful.

But if you do manually commenting on highly niche relevant blogs with good comment, that will be beneficial.

I personally don't recommend the GSA, as it creates all the links which includes highly spun content and non friendly URLs too. I dont suggest you to do GSA, if you want to go for long term website improvement.

Rather do the guest post outreach, skyscraper outreach, infographic outreach, round up outreach. And there are many more.

If the comments will be totally niche relevant and are in the high quality sites, then comment links are good. Else if you just post the comment on any site either its high quality or not, that will be not good for your website and Moz mark those links as spam.
