Quite few years ago I opened up a brick and mortar store in my city repairing laptops.

A few meters up the street is a "major player" in tech repair in my city. They are an established franchise in the city.

Anyway I know the owner personally as when I was younger I worked there and learned. He treated me like shit because I was a kid and didn't "know anything". He ripped me off when it came time to pay one day and I quit. I quit the job, and a few months later picked up a small location up the street and decided to get it on my own. He was furious, I didn't care.

This is when I found BHW and the rest is history.

The store I was renting I ended up purchasing and it has become a part of me. I am now being contacted as the franchise owner up the street wants to buy everything out completely because I am "bothering" him. I don't know what my decision will be, I would like to get into IM full time and working to do so, so we will see.

The moral of this story is to shed the value of this community and how it is life changing. To anyone out there reading, keep hustling, keep having faith in what you do and be good and stay UP through HARD times.

Excellent points buddy. I am exploring bhw gem.

I think what's life-changing on BHW for me is the motivation I get from people.
In real life, people would tell me to find a real career. In BHW, people would tell me that its possible.
(not that I don't have a job, I'm job hunting to fund my projects)

Anything on BHW that you tell people in real life sounds like a dream and impossible.

Yes I find it's hard for civilians to understand us, this has caused me to kick it with few people who think like me.
Most people couldn't wrap their head around what we would do, so i don't bother explaining it just kills your energy.

Feel the same, don't have much energy to explain what I do.

Congrats for your brick and mortar success.

Thanks and same to you in this digital age!

Learned quite a few useful things as a lurker here. From user-agent strings to VirtualBox, I've gained some useful knowledge from BHW.
