Shopify vs Woocommerce? Or another platform for a webshop?

Hello
I'm new to creating webshops and got no experience at all, but i'm looking to create a webshop for my side business, basically clothing line.
I know it might be a challenge creating a website from nothing, but either way, you can find most information online so im not bothered about that, but i wanna know what's the BEST platform from your experience.
Pro/cons about different websites?

If you got no experience at all: Go with Shopify. Very easy to use. If you use the dev/affiliate account you won't need to pay the monthly bill. Thank me later, I just saved you lots of money.

WooCommerce needs knowledge in Wordpress. You will need knowledge in finding a good theme, customize the theme and adjust everything. Also you will need a hosting, SSL, premium theme (if you want it to look good) etc.

The whole process on Woocommerce/Wordpress takes longer. Shopify is easy to use and beginner friendly. Also Shopify offers a free SSL certificate (https) and fast hosting.

I tried both and would pick Woocommerce for long term, but I also got lots of experience with Wordpress and Woocommerce.

I heard that shopify will be free for the first 50 orders, so for me that sounds great since i literally won't be spending any $$ if my business fails, but since im expecting it to not, i'm not sure what to pick.
But isn't woocommerce basically just finding a great "HOW TO DO" list online and following it from A-Z? The thing with shopify that's putting me off is the extra payments you will make as your company rise, and since every guy that runs his business right knows that paying for things that's "nice to have" isn't really smart.

Also im not sure how much woocommerce gonna cost me since i probably need some plugins and other stuff.

If you have this mindset, I suggest you don't start with this project. Cos, it's usual that you will fail before you see progress in any business. You may get lucky at the start and may fail suddenly and then you may succeed again. It happened to me since my product didn't need high volume promotion and competition was also less. But suddenly the competition rose and I started loosing since I hadn't diversified. Then I had to get up again after falling, a lesson learnt the hard way.

Let me come to the topic now.

It all depends on your budget and dedication.

I started with woocommerce and have been successful. It could seem complicated for some compared to shopify, but once you get hold of it and learn the basics, you have plugins for almost everything.

I tried to use shopify at some point in time and thought it's expensive paying monthly. That could be cos I had already tasted the inexpensive woocommerce and complete freedom of what I can do to store.

But, if you have a mindset of like you will quit, then I would suggest shopify, since it's monthly. You can also try woocommerce with monthly plan of hosting.

The main thing that creates issue is the payment processors. So, I would suggest you do in-depth research about this as well.

For me, woocommerce is freedom and no comments on shopify, cos I used it for one month.

Yep. You setup a Woo in 2 hours using Elementor. I run 4 for myself and 13 for clients and will stick with WP.

No experience go with Shopify or any of the other ecommerce site builders. I'd suggest setting up a site with woocommerce/wordpress and learning it as that is the best way to save money when launching a new website and waiting to see if it will take off.

Shopify is easy to setup and they got a plan that you pay only after the 50 first sales + Free hosting included
Not to mention that they got way more Apps than woocommerce

if you're looking for long term and something different go for woocommerce, in the end is not that hard to learn.

if you're pure laziness and want it all done in few clicks go for shopify.
