BTC scammed

Back in a day, when I was btc loaded, I got scammed for 4 btc. Wanted to sell for Paypal, some guy contacted me, I said ok, but with escrow with that and that guy from bitcointalk forum, he made a new profile that looked like that guy but had one character bit different, I sent him btc and voila. Well done.

Paypal is better for business, because they keep it fair. You can ask for a refund if you got scammed. With crypto, you can't. So, it can't be better than any form of traditional payment solution to be frank (unless what you are doing is against the terms of the particular payment processor).

If someone only accepts Bitcoin for things and they do not have a reputable reputation or established business, I would just laugh. I understand lots of people use crypto every day and are not scammers, but there are very few legitimate reasons to only accept crypto for something. Not for me. Not when I am dealing with individuals who have nothing to lose and can just disappear.

It doesn't have to be fair. Atleast, you have a "case". With btc, you don't. Additionally, crypto is volatile. If you got $100 today, doesn't mean that the sum will remain the same tomorrow. This is especially true with all Shitcoins. BTC is a bit more stable (due to the fact that already maaaany people got their asses f*cked, they will keep HODLing), but it is still not backed by anything. CRYPTO IS SHIT (Not as a technology though... also not, if you got some for free... just encash it lol).

Nope. This just isn't true. If the seller can show tracking numbers for shipping, PayPal just closes complaints lots of the time unless the buyer can show a return tracking number showing they returned the item. For digital items, I don't know I have less experience.
Wow, it sounds a lot right now. What was the price at the time?

This! As for digital goods, it can be tricky AFAIK. Still, if you know what you are doing, probably you will win the case; no matter if you are the buyer or the seller (given that you are not selling anything against the terms if you are a seller... e.g. smm panel shit). Additionally, even if PP case is closed, you can mail your CC company and get the money refunded. I have done it multiple times before (I did not cheat anyone lol.. it was bad products/delivery/etc) and I still have my paypal account.

How does that even happen man? It's not hard to know whats legit and not. Don't send money to random people. Why do people fall for this?There should be option to recover money from scammer ... in 7 days lost 500$ BTC

Scammers will always be around, don't fall for it. If you keep getting scammed left and right, the issue lies within you.

I used to play a multiplayer game where scammers were notorious. From there I learnt about protecting yourself from such people, because the internet is full of them. I learnt to never send all the money at once (so if they run away they don't run away with the whole lot), and when you can - use a trusted middle man. Just to name a few of these methods.
If somebody created a BTC middle man service, that would be a lifesaver. Buyer sends BTC to that address, and it's only cleared and sent to the seller once both parties accept. Does that exist yet? I don't have enough knowledge to create such a thing, but I imagine a service like that would be insanely popular.
