Proxy for Instagram app on mobile device. Possible?

Hello!

I'm going to purchase http proxies and set these proxies on my smartphones (in WiFi settings under iOS and under Android).

Will the Instagram app work through a proxy or not. Please, let me know.

I have heard that system proxy set up in WiFi section under Android and iOS can be used only in the system web browser. And other apps including Instagram will connect directly, bypassing this proxy.

As far as I know it should work. I remember playing some game where after changing the proxy the game showed the geolocation of this proxy, not my real one

i no some people having issues with follow/unfollow at the moment

It should work, but if you want to be sure, you can even use a VPN, this will encrypt your traffic and you'll be sure there are no IP leaks

Setting up the proxy in the OS doesn't work. App data still request data from the local IP But connecting to a VPN through Wifi does. Where all of your device data is relayed on a network,and you can easily deactivate and set special permissions.

Drony for android works perfectly for this.

It essentially creates a wifi connection with the proxy, and your device connects to it.
