I had one affiliate site who had bad rankings that I deleted it 2 months ago. Now that I heard about this update, I got one of the backups I had back online Let's see, maybe I'll be lucky to have it ranked again.

Same here mate! My competitors buying cheap PBN's and spammy links + having scam/shitty/partially copied & spinned content are ranking very well. Don't know how they survived so well from Google updates.
