Haha we all wish but that's not going to happen. If they were to roll back, they wouldn't wait so long. I am not sure what the update will bring but I am certain just like every update it is going to favor big brands and kill the small marketers. They have been doing it gradually for quite a while now.
 
Also Google analytics and Google Adsense. They took a break :-)

I study network engineering, I highly highly doubt it. When a network change goes wrong it can fuck companies globally. It can bring multiple sites down at once. I reckon they did performed an emergency network change for some reason, maybe tomorrows update and it went wrong. Especially with them giving time frames for it to be fixed.

Because the last Google Core Update my traffic drop like crazy lol. so whatever they bring i'll take it.
 
I think they going to control or deindex Porn related sites or Casino etc
 
I know they are expecting to focus on mobile searching, but they are also revamping how branding works in search. They are going to start including favicons and additional brand info in searches. It seems like they are trying to make the search results appear more like the search 'cards' that usually appear at the top (or on the right-hand side on desktops.) They are also highlighting the permalinks at the top of results, so it looks like properly permalinked/siloed/categorized pages will probably get a boost as well as sites that have overall properly branded sites, with mobile searching getting the most attention.

Anyway, is there a good E-A-T guide to recommend?

It can also be what he said, there are botnets with enough power to literally crush with server overload or requests too.
 
I feel like SEO is exactly where Google wanted it to be already. This is not 2014 where spamming a shitloads of backlinks would influence things. So since SEO people has abandoned that mindset of bad quality spam, every update hits us less and it becomes more about small changes. Finally, until Googles gets rid of all websites and simply stole our content, they need us right?
