My Methods:Quiz Website: Creates quizzes + share them on social media monetize with adsense.
Local Directory: Make a local directory for businesses in my area, offer them premium listings, ads on the site, and a web development option for businesses without a website.

Quiz website: Bought a domain off of Namecheap, something I could build upon. Bought hosting from WPXHosting, Bought the quize plugin from the market place, and bought the famous wordpress vault from @Festinger. (This was the first time I have actually built a website with wordpress so I've been having fun messing around with different themes and plugins and the vault has saved me a lot of money!) I chose to go with the divi theme because I want to have control over the whole site and this theme gives me control of that. I hired someone off fiver to write quizzes for me so I have uploaded 25 quizzes on my site. I have only published 4 as every quiz needs a welcome page, and pictures. I plan on writting a minimum of 300 words per welcome page so that I can apply with adsense and not get rejected. I have also created a page on facebook where I will start to post my quizzes once publish at least 10 of them.
Local Directory: I also bought the domain off of namecheap, and it is also being hosted on WPX as they allow up to 5 websites with their smallest package. I used MyListing theme from Festingers Vault, and ive been messing around tweaking with and playing with the settings it offers. It is a little confusing but I've learned quite a bit, from getting the google maps api key to messing around with elementor. I dont know yet if i plan to manually list the businesses or if i can scrape info and bulk upload it? I just started on this site 2 days ago so alot of planning still needs to take place. I've been researching trying to find high quality pictures to put on my directory site but my town is kinda dead and theres no good pictures lmao.
My Goals:
My goal with these 2 sites is to earn $1k a month, I think this is more than achievable with smart and hard work. I don't think this is going to be a walk in the park because im not too experienced, but it will be a good way to get experienced in building websites and driving traffic. I plan for the quiz website to bring in most of the revenue, and for the local directory to be more of a guide to people coming into my town or trying to explore it. If i dont make revenue but still help out someone in the process, ill be more than satisfied, even though I really think people will start to ask for ads and promotions once the word goes out that this person found this place through my site, and etc.
I will try and update once weekly, or maybe even earlier if something important happens. I made this thread not just to keep me motivated but hopefully to help others and maybe others will help me along the way.
