Finding a niche can be a little bit tricky. A niche is something that is specialized. So finding a niche that is worth the effort or makes a lot of money is usually something that a person is passionate about.
For, example if you're a singer who was raised listening to blues music, then performing and singing the blues may be your niche. If you are a professional person who works in marketing AND have a passion for, or experience in the beauty industry, then marketing - specifically in the area of “beauty” may be your niche.
A good way to find a niche is to ask questions about something that was always wanted as a child, what comes to mind first thing in the morning, or a hobby that could be turned into a business. Be really, really honest. Regardless of whether your hobby is watching television or chartering sail boats, first get clear about interests or tendencies. Especially when something repeatedly comes to mind first thing in the morning and/ or comes to mind unprovoked, since these are instincts and may remind you of things you care about.
Finally, ask questions about what you're willing to be known for or not. If there is something you wouldn't want to become known for, then do not make it your niche. To the contrary, if you would love for other people to seek your advice or attend conferences and shows where all in attendance do the same thing, then make a habit a part of your life and assign it as your niche!
