Can you use bots and not get shadow banned?

Would you still use a bot like MP for a brand account that you care about to participate in engagement rounds and send likes? No follow/unfollow or comments.

Does IG punish for using bots by shadow banning you? They can obviously easily tell if anyone is using a bot.

Who says they can easily tell if you're using a bot?
If you set up your bot properly (i.e. using human-like settings), how would they know?
The problem is probably the way you're setting up the bot, not the bot itself.

IG can tell the degree you hold your phone in your and and how you scroll and where you touch the screen and for how long etc. Is this really under a debate? I mean...those guys coded facebook. They can tell what you ate for breakfast yesterday.

You use bots or another automated "Instagram growth" tool. If you aren't putting in the hard work yourself, you're not growing a following authentically.Using bots is a spammy tactic, and could result in a shadowban. You use broken hashtags.

I don't want to spam or follow/like random people. I'm just asking if using a bot will get my account automatically shadowbanned. I've been shadowbanned before. No matter what hashtags I use I get like 1-5 impressions per post if I'm banned.

Haha I dunno. It's all just data. If your numbers are way out of whack, that's when their systems will start to fuck with you. I think it's the way you setup your bot - the goal is to look like a human. The kind of numbers you need to be doing to warm up your account are LOW. Like... following 10-15 people a day initially.

Virality and using hashtags is a separate thing from using a follow/unfollow bot. Going viral seems more about content, timing, hashtags and DM groups.

First you build up a core following (with a bot if you wish). You speed this up with shout-outs, influencer collaborations and using your network.
Then you keep the following that you build engaged by creating value.
Once you're delivering good value with your content, the right combination of hashtags, timing and maybe extra pushes from DM groups or power-likes and all that, will get you going viral.
