After receiving their license to trade crypto in New York today I received my application approval to trade crypto in N.y using the Robinhood App.

I use it all the time for stocks and it works flawlessly. I managed to purchase ETH earlier and it went thru without a glitch. Already up a few bucks.

Honestly I'm not sure, I haven't tried to withdrawal yet. I'm up aprox $7 bucks so time will tell and I'll update here.

Simplicity for sure but concerning crypto the coins accessible are limited.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to invest in crypto on platforms like Robinhood. When it comes to stocks, Robinhood may be an ok choice for newcomers, but it's a different story for cryptocurrency. If you don't even own a private key and can't even scan (or know) the address on which your assets are located, can you even say that you own your newly acquired crypto? The UI may be simple and easy to use, but it doesn't make up for the freedom of trading your assets, a limited number of currencies being offered and getting your data sold (which is why the entire platform became controversial in the past years).

If you can’t bother with setting up either a hardware or software wallet, at least choose a trusted exchange that is eligible for NY citizens.

if its didnt own private key, scan address, then its not secured enough to do.
about data sold yes its true and possible since binance got hacked 7000 btc and now the hacked going to sell the 7M users binance database in deepweb market

That security breach has been plugged and the wallet address has been black listed on all platforms.

Coinbase is way better. Robinhood asks for too many information and I don't even think it's good. Robinhood is too mainstream and demanding.

What about coinbase or even the cashapp app. She needs a whole liscence just to trade crypto. That's like invasion privacy. A liscense? come on.
