Self Employed + Vacation = Can you really relax? (Your experience?)

From my experience being self employeed over the last 3 years. I personally can not stop working even on vacation. Last summer I spent a month in a location on "vacation" that had no phone or internet. I was in panic mode about my business the whole time even though I had someone running them for me.

I am not a big fan of travelling so I guess if I had to choose from work and travel, I might work

I thought I'm the weird one , I don't like or so call " addicted travel around " I know is an experience , to see more things right in front your own eyes , instead watch from TV , Youtube etc.

i can spend entire week at home , surf net , check around , play a bit video game sometimes , than home exercise a bit . Some will feel this is Bored but to me like kinda immune I don't feel or sense any

I feel partly due to internet . Last time before internet , lo I always go out play soccer , catch insect etc , late come video games , than computer

also partly my friends also busy with their work , some got family , thus hardly meet up . Again I also don't feel any losses etc so call must have accompany

I think you can definitely relax and have a great time if you have your business on autopilot, everything is already established and you just have fun. That would be a dream life

I face the same issue in starting so after that i told my clients that i am on vacation, will be back and contact you. As a particular dates too so i tell them the dates too. Being a single person or work with a team even on vacation being hard.
Sometimes i feel it's better to do the task myself instead of telling them.

Okay, i can understand that. If you have clients to serve then you need someone that replaces you during your time off.

I believe in balance. Your time is precious. Bad time management means wasted time. It's completely possible to go on a vacation, relax and enjoy yourself whilst also doing some work where it's needed. It also depends on your business or whatever the hell you're into.

What I've found is true for me is that too long periods of not working WILL turn me into a giant lazy ass.

Yep, thats what i think will happen to me as well, hence why i am taking a laptop with me so i can do some work early in the morning when everyone is asleep!

i feel even you work while holiday also no harm . Simply because is your Own stuffs, you work for yourself. some more is via online as long there is Internet . Perhaps
is more like simple stuffs , just reply and check around. Will follow up when you come back etc.

Unlike those have a physical shop , selling things etc , that is different , they can't wait to relax come vacation. My country here many shops owners never rest
even come public holiday , and year end , The only days they off is come Chinese New year , at most just close shop for one day . Some open business 2nd day of CNY which is still PH. Whereas some open during CNY but off after CNY .

so you see the difference here. Online business vs offline Business.

whereas for most working for a Job of course can't wait for Public holidays or take leave just to relax . will not think of work actually too tired to think and hope boss don't
whatapp you etc while on leave.

Same thing will most likely happen to me as well. It almost feels like its already programmed into my brain that i cannot live without work LOL!

I personally cannot. Always on the move, always hustling, always thinking about your projects, 16-18 hour per days of work, really difficult to relax. Unless you build a nice capital and allow yourself to take a little break.

Travel... You cannot take money with you when you die.. all you can take are the memories and the experiences..! And regarding laziness, It only comes when you are not hungry..! If you are hungry the laziness will not come..!
