Banned from Chaturbate?

Hey guys,

You must know me from my journey (https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/road-to-10-000-free-regs-on-chaturbate.1095992/)

I have just tried to login to my Chaturbate affiliate account and got this message:

"Your account is banned from the affiliate program"

I'm quite worried & shocked atm. I have been working great with them, deleting some twitter profile that caused them problems, sending people on revshare, sent more than 8000 free regs, and without any warning, they seem to have banned my account.

Anyone had experience reinstated an account?

From what I've heard it's not a scam. Have you tried appealing / emailing them? It might be an automated thing.

To be fairly honest, the amount I invested in this program, yes, I was trying to abide by the rules. Doesn't seem fair

Wtf... it makes 0 sense, especially if you're generating them revenue. Some people complain that they got banned from the $1 per registration link and this makes perfect sense if your traffic is shitty and doesn't convert, BUT getting banned from the revshare one? It makes no sense to me.

Only possible reason I see here is the Twitter botting (if you're still doing it).

There must have been some Bots or crappy leads or some kind of thing to alienate them. TBT companies will pay affiliates tons provided that the return is good. For some reason, your returns stopped being good.

That's not to say that some companies that use affiliates screw them over, it happens all the time. But broadly if you're making money and they're making money, they're happy to keep the gravy train going. There must be something else going on here.

Feel free to reach out to them, but barring you suing them, you're unlikely to get the information you want.

I didnt think revshare could make them lose money. Accumulated 95 spenders in 6 months. Just doesnt seem fair to not even have a warning. Ive spent so much time working on that strategy

It's not a scam. Obviously there was some problem with your promotional method. You know this because you had to delete one of your Twitter profiles. I guess I know what the problem is and you made one their models mad, but maybe it's something else. Always contact support because your account is worth probably $30,000+ with all of those registrations.

My method might not be the most "white-hat" but it didn't break the TOS. Now if it's bad for their business, i wouldn't mind them sending me a warning and me moving away from this method, but as far as I know, I have not received any complaint about this method, beside the ask for removal of some profile (which I did very fast)

When someone asked you to remove some profile, that was your warning. You needed to stop the method 100% then.

Did you own all of the content you posted to Twitter and on the profiles 100%? If you used anyone else content/videos/pictures without proper license or agreement, you violated the ToS. I have a very hard time believing you did a blackhat method, where someone complained and forced you to remove a profile, and it wasn't breaking the ToS.

1 month ago we had the same experience with an affiliate account (chaturbate) on nexturbate.com
We sent an email and the account was unbanned, it was an "error"...

I can't tell you what a pain in the neck that is. I've worked with websites that sell literally hundreds of thousands of dollars of ads using Google products and even then, unless you're special, connected or pay for the privledge, you'll never really talk to an account manager.

And if you do have an account manager, any questions / comments you send them will be immediately directed to support. Customer service IMO is going the way of the dinosaur, at least with big ad or tech companies.

You might have been getting too many chargeback incurred by the people that you refer. Visa chargeback rate for merchant is 1% currently. Not sure about Mastercard.

I do get it. I have been with Chaturbate since their first day. The content on their website is NOT for promotional use unless you are using their official widgets or banners.

They don't have any widgets for Twitter. The banners are not the correct size for Twitter. So the only thing I can guess is that you were stealing the copyright content of the users. One of the models complained. You got banned.

Over 5% chargebacks is a LOT. Why would your users being doing such heavy chargebacks? I don't even remember ever seeing a chargeback from thousands of transactions.
