I bought an expired domain almost 2 months ago, set up a small website, addded to Google Search Console.

The problem:
GSC only showing 2 backlinks out of 40 ish

The question:
How long does it take for most of the backlinks to appear in GSC?
Maybe they beeing ignored?

Depends where you found the aforementioned 40 backlinks. Moz, Ahrefs, SEMrush etc. all use their own crawlers. It's not uncommon for links to show up on SEO programs but not in GSC.

Well it doesn't matter where I found them, it shows similar amount of backlinks on all of them tools, not on GSC tho...
I know GSC is slow, but 2 months is way too long I think..
I just started thinking that those backlinks are being ignored.. :/ maybe.. idk

If those links aren't there yet or are being ignored, then they are not exactly worth much anyway.

Actually, it does kind of matter where you found them when you’re asking a community of SEO’s for advice. The more information I (and others) can gather, the better I can help you with your query.

Perhaps a similar level of research would have helped you when buying this domain.
