Hello. I want to resell products to people that I purchase from Ali Express. How exactly do I do that? Do I personally order the products from Ali Express to my location, and then I reship them out to other buyers? Or do I just simply purchase from AliExpress when someone makes an order on my page? Sorry guys I'm a super noob just trying to figure out how Shopify works. I've checked out the guides on here but I'm still a little confused on this part. Thanks again!

First, understand what dropshipping is. Shopify has dropshipping 101 course for free. This might help you

Ok. Do you have any tips/recommendations for me as I start doing this? (i.e how do I avoid mistakes)

Also, how much money should I spend on low cost products (items that cost $3-$6)?

For dropshipping find products that ship fast and are low price ($1-$10 USD). Look for epacket shipping to U.S. This is fast shipping. For aliexpress dropshipping it can go direct to customer. Buy samples first to ensure shipping and quality. These are good to test your store. Using "free" product method is good. Buying products wholesale and having in stock allows you to sell offline and online. I would both dropship and have products in your possession. Start with very low cost products. Read up youtube video for definitions and guides.

ok I'll look more into it. I'm worried about being able to sell these products. It just feels very overused. How am I going to be able to attract attention to my Shopify store??

I agree, I'm still able to sell with Aliexpress though. Products will always have competition, does not mean you cant sell them. You will also find goldmine products nobody is reselling. Even if people are selling the same product, you may come up with a different way to sell to customers, attracting more. Or the product is evergreen, regardless of how many people selling. I know plenty of products on aliexpress that no one is targeting. You need to dig on there. For traffic you could blog comment, giveaway, post on forum of niche, youtube videos, contact influencers for review, etc.

Do you think $100 cash is enough to start?

I spent around $50 on aliexpress products and I'm projected to make $350-$450 profit with current project I'm working on. I know they will sell. I personally use them and know the audience. If you know your audience you will not waste money and time. I do little things like appealing to emotion in my description and telling how I use the product myself, and the value it can create. You will be surprised how much you can resell shit for. I was just at shopping center couple days ago and saw people paying a lot for stuff. $100 is enough, but before you buy anything check if you can get something for free. I use bunch of free tools from this forum. For example for you, shopify themes and tools would fit your needs. Just hit up search bar. For products you can even spend way less if you want. Some small products on aliexpress sell for $0.50 a piece. I encourage spending low amount of money if possible if you are beginner. Of course have some money set aside to pay for dropship items/wholesale. Besides shopify, don't forget about other online shops, flea markets, and direct in person marketing. Start small-------> expand.

Drop shipping 101.. Method..
Get orders and payments from clients first, then use their money to buy cheap products which will be shipped to their address by aliexpress themselves and you keep the profit! works with amazon to ebay also ;)

Well said!

Guys this is some seriously good info I appreciate it. I'll let y'all know how I do with this!

The best thing to do is to choose other providers. Not only Aliexpress. This will vary your products and your shipping times to your customers.
