pbn got hit

Had built a small pbn but somehow Google caught me. Pbn domains have been de-indexed.

Anyway, what I don't understand is why my web 2.0s haven't been penalized, even though they are even more obviously designed only for the purpose of passing link juice. Can someone please explain why Google ignores web 2.0s and only targets pbns? Thanks.

Maybe its because of the authority of the web 2.0 root domains? That's the only thing I can thing of.

Now when I do keyword research and type a search term related to my website it shows me (your website right on top) ranks x for that search query along with the number of impressions and click-through rate. This just tells you how easy is to leave 'footprints' and makes you wonder what else those Fu ^ $rs know about you. Even if I logged out of my Gmail account I'm pretty sure that they would track my movement anyway. They target PBNs because they know that they provide the most valuable link juice. If it wasn't the case they would not bother spending their resources and time tracking them down. They'd simply ignore it.

Relax, it's because you're logged into Search Console.

It just displays some SC data.

Exactly. If OP is using really established platforms, they would have such heavy duty authority that it would take more than a few Web 2.0 spam pages to penalize them

hi sorry to hijack the thread, but would like to ask is it worth buying expired domains of businesses which have closed and where there's a high chance that google knows that?
There are many food eateries restaurants opening and closing, such that for a new restaurant opening, it's not sure whether it's worth it to take over an old site and 301 redirect it. Has anyone tried to build pbns out of old restaurant sites instead of expired blogs?

I think that because of the authority of web2.0 platform google is less strict on it. That's being said, what footprints did you let on your PBN network?

To answer the last poster, I heard some guy doing so but I never tried because I think it is too risky. At least you need to manage it very well. It should depend on the domain which will receive the 301.
