As suggested, I thought I'd create a thread in this section of the thread.

We've had e-cigs, bitcoin etc. Does anybody have any (serious) thoughts on what could be around the corner, but yet isn't well known (or known at all) by the general public?

You speak about smoker accesories?
Vaporizer is something not really famous in some country (mine for example).
 
I seriously think weed (marijuana) is next in the US.

Weed vaporizer is still growing. A couple states have it on the ballot still.

The social media and blogs dedicated to smoking I have seen are all very 'culture' specific. They are for stoners. Nothing against them. I just see it that way.

I expect some big sites will pop up once it is not federally illigal. This is years away, but once US states vote yes the fed will want to tax it.

Long game here, but if I knew more about the niche i would dive in now as a long term project.

Authority site with sections for the medical facts, accessories, how to guides and difference between strands.

Social media how to guides and a video section.

I would treat the site like a wine and cigar website. A lot to cover. With weed the accesorie money and beginner kits would be insanely profitable for first timers.

Even though weed is illegal in our country, smoking accessories is very much profitable business here, it sells like hot cakes
 
Everything seems saturated at the moment and most of the 'new' items seems to be rehashes of old stuff. Someone may come up with something brand new that everyone wants but I cannot see anything on the horizon.
 
I feel is more like a trend to collobrate is better.

I see competitors always try to bring down you etc just because maybe your site outrank them or whatever

why don't collobrate , work together and earn together?

End of the day no harm for both right ? both party site rank well , also both earn money together. This is how I feel

but sadly still got some wanna make a fast buck and scam . This is why perhaps people also think twice sometimes come to work together.
 
why does everyone speak about smoking?

I didn't know about BTC in 2011
so maybe there is something also that I don't know about now witch will be the next big thing
and I will say after 10 years that "if I knew it in 2019"

Tik Tok automation, AI Seo services, implementing AI into existing business models, AI article spinners...
