Does Youtube penalize Channel for often uploads?

Hello,
Some youtuber said, that often uploads on channel per day, can hurt channel. It is true? How it works?

I have gamming channel and I want to upload 5 videos per day? It is good?
Or maybe I should upload less video?

Depends if you are just uploading crap. Has more to do with engagement levels / views of your videos...

I can see how google might take total subscribers divided by total videos and somehow put that into their algorithm.
But nobody fucking knows what Google does.

Honestly, channels are uploading more than five videos a day and making millions a year.

it depends on your quality.

maybe you need to start with 2-3 a day and get going, but unless you got a good team it's almost impossible to create quality videos in that volume on such short time frames.

I used to upload 50-100 videos per day for years. On the end the channel was demonetized but not because of that, but for new rules they introduced. Had dozens of millions views and still getting 130-140k per day.

it doesnt mean anything. some people upload over 50 vids per day. But if you're not getting views whats the point. Better to upload just one quality content a day than 5 crap videos. So if you think your videos are all high quality that viewers will want to watch, knock yourself out with as many as you can.

I made my channel 5 years ago. My channel in one period of time get 6 mln view by month. But when new algoritm came and I didnt record to my channel about 6 month - my channel is going to dead. I start upload to this channel again, i have 160k subscribers, but many of them didnt get notification or i dont know.. Just i have so low views. Onyl about 1k - 0.6k views per video. I am sarching answer what happend and how to rise my channel again.

If you really think that 5 videos are good quality keep doing that.
But if you upload 5 video just to hit the number, is better to lower the number and increase quality.
After a break like yours is normal that Youtube is not recommending your channel, keep working and you will be back on track.
This days to build a channel it takes some time.

The answer is yes. While uploading 2 videos a day is fine, uploading 5 isn't. Notifications won't show up for your subscribers, even for those who turned on notifications.
Reason is simple. Spam protection.

Just cause you re uploading a lot doesn't mean it will hurt your channel. What hurts channel is low quality content. Even if you re uploading one low quality content a day, your channel still suffers anyway, its not the number.

A lot of popular news channels upload over 20 videos a day, again it all boils down to quality, if OP has something people want to watch. If what he has to offer is low quality videos, he'd be better off sticking to one or two, and improve on them than pumping out useless contents that will further driver subs away.

You can do a test to find out. Create a new channel and upload 5+ videos per day for 7+ days.

I was making 5k eur/month before demonetization. Still haven't found the way to monetize the channel after it.

same problem here, I was doing 1k per month.
I started to create unique content and new create videos. I used to be in the compilation channel.

I wonder if youtube was losing so much money with those channels.

It only matters if you sacrifice quality for quantity of uploads to the point where your viewer retention drops below high engagement levels.

However, if you can produce 10 videos every day consistently without any drop in quality, as long as the videos aren’t crap in the first place it shouldn’t hurt you at all.

I'm not in gaming niche I couldn;t tell you whats low quality in that niche. But please note that just because you are not getting many views now doesnt mean your contents are low quality. Some really good channels (with great quality vifdeos) take a while to be discovered. its like a diamond hiding in the rough, but once discovered people will start subscribing and watching daily as long as you don't sacrifice quality for anything else. You have to do your part in getting yourself out there for people to really notice you.
Don't look at competitors all the time, don't copy them. (that can hinder your own ability to create better videos) Be creative on your own right, ensure you have catchy good titles, nice descr., very attractive thumbnail. high quality not dull or boring. Things ;like that can make or break your channel or videos regardless of how great your videos are.
