Chinatown :) I hate to say that because I don't like Roman Polanski as a person, but he is a great director. Rosemary's Baby is creepy af.
Oldboy is also great (only original version).
 
Kill Bill 1 and 2 and everything else by Tarantino.

Seems like GTA V story was inspired by Heat. I haven't watched it but looking at the summary, its similar to GTA V.

@bertbaby great movie taste my kind sir. Oldboy is a must watch. Life of Brian is my favorite comedy move of all times, Das Boot is another must watch. Shawshank, Heat, Inception, Pulp Fiction - everyone knows about these masterpieces.
@Geasy I enjoyed City of God too.

PS. Apocalypse Now is another one of my top top favorite dog war movies.

I really like The Lives of Others, Good Bye Lenin, Downfall, Run Lola Run, Das Boot, Sophie Scholl – The Final Days and more but they are oldies. Something new good?

Dear you watched them all good movies. I don't watch new movies at all, no matter if German or not. Berlin Calling is another movie I enjoyed cuz it's one of it's kind, but it's for techno and drug lovers like me.

Not sure if it counts as a German but you should watch "Victoria". One of my favorites.

All time favorite though, "Interstellar"
