My tests for 5 apps:

APP1: installs bought on keyapp, 50/day for 6 days, on six day app ban for fake installs

APP2: bought 1000 installs from keyapp, 1 hour - ban for fake installs

APP3 / APP4/ APP5 - bought installs on Adwords, 500/app and guess what, APP3 banned for...fake installs, APP4 shadowbanned and APP5 killed, no installs more than adwords

So if you haven't established application with hundreds organic installs / day, do not buy any installs, especialy for bots like keyapp.

So how to get installs? Wait!

2-4 weeks you will get 0 installs! But there is some "WTF" thing in Google Play, magicaly you are getting installs more and more after this time.

In my apps 1-0 installs before 2 weeks and then 30-50/day after month 100-500/day
This looks like some cool of period set up by Google to see if you are not making shady stuff like installs.

As you see below, one of my apps ranks for many countries... not spent single cent, just waited for cool of period ends.

Of course. It's all related to the kind of apps he's buying install for.

Think people, think: if you could take down an app just buying 1000 installs, everyone would be taking down all their competitors overnight.

It's a mix of factors, it's different for new or old apps, from category to category, from country to country, from the reviewer mood....

I told about fresh apps, 1-3 days, seems google hates it but I am surprised that they banned for using...adwords ;D

I boost over 10 apps now with 100 eur per month for each app, installas are from google ads/adwords and for some countries have 0.02 per install. Don't have any problem for now, and all apps are pure whitehat.

but i cannot advice keyword installs from bot services

You can buy cheap & safe installs from Adwords. If you keep track of your install campaigns, you end up paying very less in adwords than anywhere on the internet.

It's like backlinks. You wouldn't index 1000 backlinks in a couple of hours for a new site. I get with apps is a bit different, but still getting suddenly 1k installs for a new, no name app is fishy.

Yes, I suggest just wait some time and then try, even with adwords.

1) you can buy android install from safe ressources (and not from bots like keyapp)
2) it's like backlink (or growing an IM account), need to scale by steps (few installs the first days, and then increasing everyday...)

I was testing keyapp in Canada yesterday in fresh but well ranked application.
200 installs, in few hours I lost all keywords. Keyapp have BST on forum, they should be checked once again by mod.
Now I see this app is getting keywords back but position is 2-3x worse.

2) yes, it's suprising that ... backlinks helped me, I bought regular SEO package from here and it worked more than fake installs

I want to add an information. If an app is installed from direct link (without organic) I think our apps go to moderator screen for review. I tried on my closed apps, I directed my old users to new app but new app is closed in 1 month. But a similar organic install app is not still banned. If i'm wrong you can say truth.

You are wrong and this is accident, because installs from direct link are still organic if you have real users.

The problem with fake installs, for example from keyapp and other bots is one. They have high rate of installs/uninstalls.
For example, they have 1000 clients /day, it's not fckin possible that normal user install 1000 apps / day. It's not even high probably that user install more than 10/day.
Also their ISP looks like hosting on digital ocean, if flurry can detect it, Google can do it too.

You are right for fake installs, they can be detect from isp etc. My observation is on high installs. If our app is ill3gal they can be ban it in 1 month with high installs. But they can be catch the ill3gal app with aso install in longer time (if installs are without aso they catch in less time). Maybe this is only an accident but i saw this on my a lot of apps.
