Semrush gonna waste Ahrefs now

So today Ahrefs finally cut off every free feature on their site.

Users cannot even see basic site stats in the free tier.

In the meantime Semrush is a fully functional tool for free tiers.

Semrush totally gonna wipe its ass with Ahrefs now. That's sad because Ahrefs was on the right path IMO, great tool. Bad policy.

Semrush will never be better than ahrefs. At semrush my site looks almost dead when at Ahrefs I could see it growing. Semrush free report is almost useless

The freeloading was minimal, just one screen, no functions. Ahrefs has decided to keep old customers who already know their service and not gain new ones, because new users don't know what it's about or what it's capable of. Risky move.

Unless majestic adds the same functionality as ahrefs, they're gonna go bust.

If I ran a successful and growing SAAS operation, and had 80% of my revenues coming from 20% of my user base, I would cut 20% of potential future revenue to remove the propensity of the 80% of users who were freeloaders or trial account riders. Basic Pareto, and a smart move by Tim and Co.

Saying "SEMRush is gonna waste Ahrefs" is like assuming https://www.blackhatworld.com/posts/12001843/. Just wild speculation based off of nothing. Pay to play or get out of the way.

I pay for ahrefs, semrush, majestic, and there are hundreds of thousands agencies and webmasters who could afford ahrefs. For me ahres is the way better than semrush, or I just used to it, I dont like semrush usability, but its good to double check keywords volume, or some other stuff. Majestic is great for bulk backlinks. All 3 tools are great to have, but If I have to choose one, than definetelly Ahrefs!

I think that everyone is aware that a lot of PBN's block search bots including AHREFs, yes. They are still incredibly useful tools though.

Idk dear but tbh me think in my humble honest opinion that it's actually very opportunistic to think about with all honesty that ahrefs and semrush are part of the seo illuminati.

You still have to use a combination of tools to do it properly. For example, @jamie3000's service finds a LOT MORE PBN's then AHREFs et al, as it is not crawling, rather scraping google. So you need to have a few tools in your arsenal to get the job done.

I also think that ahrefs is the best tool (my favorite at least) for competition analysis. And then some other things depending on your particular analysis recipe, of course, but the main tool for me ahrefs
